The Beast is a prince of a castle who was transformed into a hideous monster because of his selfish heart. Belle helps heal the loneliness he has suffered because of his exile. After Belle is captured by Maleficent, Beast makes his way to Hollow Bastion through sheer force of will. It is there where he teams up with Sora to defeat Maleficent. In Kingdom Hearts II, Beast and Belle have returned to the Beast's Castle. However, he is plagued by his inner darkness brought forth through the Organization's meddling. In Kingdom Hearts II, Beast's deadly scream becomes a powerful combo attack with Sora.
