Braska from FFX
Braska is Yuna's father and the summoner who defeated Sin and brought the Calm ten years before the events in Final Fantasy X, earning him the title of High Summoner. Braska was married to Cid's sister. This relationship was first strongly disapproved of, especially by Cid, but when Yuna was born, these tensions faded. It was when his wife was killed by Sin that Braska decided to become a summoner and embarked on a pilgrimage with his guardians Auron and Jecht to defeat Sin. People were initially sceptical about his and his guardians' ability to defeat Sin, but against all odds Braska succeeded and brought the Calm to Spira, though giving his life after his final battle with Sin.
Braska does not appear as a character in the game, but he is often spoken of and can be seen on several of the spheres the player can find throughout the game. On the spheres he is shown dressed in long flowing robes and a headdress. He has a calm and gentle nature and is unwavering in his determination to defeat Sin. He is voiced by Andy Philpot in English and by Sabou in Japanese. In X-2, he is voiced by Dee Bradley Baker, making him the only returning character to not have his original voice actor.
