Epon is one of the playable characters in the Tobal series.
Appearance[]
Epon has medium length silver hair being tied up in a high ponytail and with a long arch bang at the left side. She also wears a silver hoop earrings in her ears.
Her main appearance in both Tobal and Tobal 2 has her wearing a dark green long overalls as the strap of her overalls resembling suspenders, underneath is her white short sleeve shirt with holes in each sides of her shoulders and orange and dark blue boots and black socks. She is also equipped with a pair of orange gloves. In Tobal 2, she now wears a long sleeved shirt with dark blue elbow bands and black kneebands on her knee. Her gloves and boots are now gold.
Her secondary outfit has her wearing a red sleeveless top with dark blue straps, red long shorts with dark blue tights underneath and retaining both her gloves and her orange and dark blue boots from her main outfit.
Her secondary outfit in Tobal 2 has her wearing an orange T-shirt with printed designs at the left side as well as another light blue printed design at the back, black shorts and shades of blue boots. She also wears another shades of blue gloves to contrast her main gloves.
In her ending, she wears a red tube top along with light purple orange goggles on her neck, black jeans with a red belt around her waist and brown knee-high boots.
In her promotional poster and became an unused outfit, Epon also wears an orange sleeveless top, a matching orange skirt and white leather boots with a brown strap. She also wears a pair of white gloves.
Story[]
Tobal No.1[]
Epon is once a sick child who suffered from a terrible illness as her father entered on the previous Tobal tournament in order to get the prize money for her medicinal needs. Now grown up as an adult, having recovered from her terrible illness. She enters the 98th tournament to show her capabilities in fighting her opponents.
Tobal 2[]
It was revealed according to her mother within her story, her father's reasons of entering the Tobal tournament is to get the prize money for her medicinal needs. But during the tournament he had quickly defeated and injured numerous opponents with his brutal style of fighting. As a result of many people are blaming him for his brutal fighting in public, Emperor Udan, the Emperor of Martial Arts had banished him and never to be seen again. Epon once again enters the 99th tournament in order to clear her father's name.
Ending Description: In the middle of the road after seeing the Grand Canyon in the beginning of the scene, Epon is fixing her motorcycle, remembering the time she had drove off her motorcycle in a faster pace until she sees a brown hare on the road, she avoids hitting the animal with her bike by crashing it. It turns out that her bike was getting overheated when she is about to ride, causing her to kick her bike in disappointment and frustration. While waiting for hours to find another vehicle to ride on, a farmer passing by to offer her for a ride which she accepts and Epon was last seen stretching her arm and lying on the haystack, getting relaxed after she was given a free ride by the farmer.
Gameplay[]
Epon's possible fighting style is a blend between Taekwondo and Jeet Kune Do as she utilizes powerful kicks that can combo her opponents especially landing a powerful somersault kick. She is able charge a powerful projectile to her opponent but at the cost of depleting her life bar once she executes the move.
Trivia[]
- Epon's main appearance throughout Tobal series is based on Android 18 in the Dragon Ball franchise. Although, her depiction of her silver hair was derived on Android 18's main look in the manga version.
- The color scheme of her main outfit is from Android 18's third outfit in the Imperfect Cell Saga through the Cell Games Saga of Dragon Ball Z. As the color of her overalls is dark green while Android 18's jeans from her third outfit is dark teal.
- Her silver hoop earrings would later worn by both Android 18 and her brother Android 17 during the Tournament of Power of Dragon Ball Super.
- Her secondary outfit in Tobal 2 is the same outfit worn by Videl in her earlier appearances in the Great Saiyaman saga of Dragon Ball Z.
- Her outfit in her ending is based on Launch another character from the Dragon Ball franchise.
- Epon's fighting style is based on both Marshall Law and Baek Doo San in Tekken 2 as she inherits Baek's Dynamite Heel unblockable move. She also possesses Jun Kazama's Thunder Fall Kick when executing a powerful reverse somersault kick.
