Maria (マリア, Maria) is the beautiful heroine of Final Fantasy II.

Sister to Leon and adoptive sister to Firion, Maria is a kind-hearted and strong-willed individual. After the Emperor's attack on Fynn, Maria greatly suffers inside from the disappearance of her brother, and thus becomes very determined to find him. Though female protagonists of the Final Fantasy series often develop a romantic relationship with a male hero, Maria seems to be void of a love interest, but she does dance with Firion at the Waltz part of the game, and she does have a good relationship with him.
Voiced by Noriko Shitaya in the Final Fantasy Origins remake of II, who later went on to voice Rydia in the Nintendo DS remake of Final Fantasy IV.
