Star Ocean is the first installment of the Star Ocean series. It was developed by tri-Ace and published by Enix for the Super Famicom in 1996. Twelve years later, this enhanced remake for the PlayStation Portable was released by Square Enix.

- Ilia Silvestri, Ronyx's second-in-commmand
Setting[]
The game spans a whole universe, and takes place in many worlds:
- Earth, home to Ronyx and Ilia, located in Sector 0 and houses many sophisticated civilizations,
- Planet Roak, home to the Fellpool race; Roddick, Millie and Dorne.
